Editorial Policy

DevForge Unity publishes practical Unity tutorials, fixes and tool guides for indie and hobbyist developers. This page explains how those articles are made and who stands behind them.

Who runs DevForge Unity

DevForge Unity is run by Barrett Makrecky, who has 10 years of coding experience. Barrett is responsible for everything published on the site.

How articles are written

  • AI-assisted drafts. Articles are drafted with the help of AI tools.
  • Human review. Barrett reviews and edits each article, checks code and steps against current Unity versions, and corrects anything that is wrong or unclear.
  • Updates. When Unity changes or a reader reports a problem, the article is updated and its “Updated” date changes.

Reader questions

The “Ask a question” box on articles gives AI-generated answers based on the article. These answers are labelled as automated and are not individually reviewed. If an answer looks wrong, leave a comment on the article.

Affiliate links and independence

Some articles contain affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links. DevForge Unity may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what we recommend. See the affiliate disclosure.
